Netbook: XP;  Desktop: Vista;  XP is "connected" but "server not found"
Desktop is Vista x64 with the internet running OK with cable broadband... ..then, I bought a netbook at Christmas running XP, pulled the broadband cable out of the desktop and plugged it into the netbook and Bingo..! Internet on the netbook! ..then, I installed a LAN PCI network card into the desktop, plugged the broadband cable into the desktop and connected the two computers using the network card and Bingo! Two connected computers on a network both running the internet. ..then, I went to Portugal with the netbook. Fooled around with the internal wireless adapter and connected OK from various places. ..Now, I get home. I want to connect the netbook with the internet with a direct broadband cable connection and keeping the desktop out of it.. Tried everything I know... Local Area Connection Status = Connected Server Not Found Help..! tia1 person needs an answerI do too
